Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDHb2, or protocadherin beta 2, is part of the protocadherin family, a subgroup of cadherin superfamily proteins, which play crucial roles in neuronal development and cell signaling. The study of PCDHb2 has gained traction in recent years due to its potential implications in neurobiology and various neurodevelopmental disorders. It is predominantly expressed in the nervous system, where it is involved in mediating cell-cell interactions and contributing to the establishment of synaptic connections. Research has indicated that PCDHb2 may play a significant role in regulating neuronal differentiation and survival, thereby influencing cognitive functions and behaviors. Mutations and altered expression levels of PCDHb2 have been linked to conditions such as autism spectrum disorders and schizophrenia, highlighting its importance in neuropsychiatric health. Consequently, researchers are focused on the characterization and production of recombinant PCDHb2 proteins to better understand its molecular mechanisms and therapeutic potential. By studying its structure and function, scientists aim to elucidate how PCDHb2 contributes to neuronal networks and explore its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in treating neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders. The recombinant form of this protein allows for detailed biochemical and biophysical analyses, paving the way for innovative strategies in neurotherapy.
