  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

OATL1, or the Olfactory receptor and Oligomeric protein Transporter-like 1, has garnered attention in the scientific community due to its potential role in various physiological processes and pathophysiological conditions. Identified as a member of the solute carrier (SLC) family, OATL1 is primarily associated with the transport of amino acids and other small molecules across cellular membranes. Research indicates that OATL1 is involved in metabolic pathways, influencing cellular signaling and nutrient absorption. Furthermore, its expression has been implicated in several diseases, including obesity, diabetes, and certain cancers, suggesting that OATL1 may serve as a biomarker for disease states or a potential therapeutic target. The recombinant expression of OATL1 allows for the detailed study of its structure, function, and interaction with various ligands, facilitating the discovery of small-molecule inhibitors that could modulate its activity. Understanding OATL1's functional mechanisms could pave the way for novel interventions in metabolic disorders and improve our comprehension of the intricate transport systems that govern cellular homeostasis. Therefore, the exploration of OATL1 as a recombinant protein represents a significant step towards elucidating its biological relevance and therapeutic potential.
