Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ACAN, or aggrecan, is a key proteoglycan found in cartilage that plays a crucial role in providing structural integrity and resilience to articular cartilage. Over recent years, research has focused on the implications of ACAN in various cartilage-related disorders, particularly osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease, where its degradation is linked to the loss of cartilage function. The importance of ACAN lies in its ability to retain moisture and provide a compressive load-bearing function, enabling cartilage to withstand mechanical stress. Advances in molecular biology techniques have allowed for a deeper exploration of ACAN's structure and function, leading to a better understanding of its role in joint health. Studies have investigated the potential of ACAN as a therapeutic target for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, seeking to develop innovative strategies to repair or regenerate damaged cartilage. Moreover, the use of recombinant techniques to produce ACAN variants has enabled researchers to explore its biochemical properties and interactions within the extracellular matrix. This growing body of research highlights the significance of ACAN in maintaining cartilage homeostasis and its potential as a biomarker for cartilage-related diseases, paving the way for novel treatments that could enhance cartilage repair and improve patient outcomes.
