Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SKP1 (S-phase kinase-associated protein 1) is an essential component of the SCF (SKP1-Cul1-F-box protein) ubiquitin ligase complex that plays a crucial role in the regulation of protein degradation, cell cycle progression, and various signaling pathways. The study of SKP1-recombinant proteins has gained significant interest due to their potential implications in understanding cancer biology, given that dysregulation of the ubiquitin-proteasome system is often associated with tumorigenesis. Researchers are particularly focused on elucidating the molecular mechanisms by which SKP1 interacts with F-box proteins and other subunits of the SCF complex, as these interactions are fundamental for substrate recognition and subsequent ubiquitination. Furthermore, the overexpression or mutation of SKP1 has been linked to various cancers, highlighting its importance as a therapeutic target. Recombinant SKP1 proteins are being utilized in numerous experimental approaches, including crystallography and binding assays, to provide insights into the structure-function relationship of this protein and its role in cellular processes. Understanding the functional dynamics of SKP1 and its associated complexes not only advances our knowledge of fundamental cellular mechanisms but also lays the groundwork for developing innovative strategies for cancer treatment and therapeutic intervention.
