Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PIGQ, or Phosphatidylinositol Glycan Anchor Biosynthesis Class Q, is a crucial enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchors, which are essential for the proper localization and function of various proteins in eukaryotic cells. GPI anchors play a significant role in cell signaling, adhesion, and immune response, making PIGQ vital for maintaining cellular functions. Mutations in the PIGQ gene have been associated with several human disorders, including intellectual disability and immunodeficiency, highlighting the importance of understanding its biochemical pathways. The study of recombinant PIGQ protein offers insights into its enzymatic mechanism, substrate specificity, and interaction with other components of the GPI biosynthesis pathway. Furthermore, purifying and characterizing PIGQ can facilitate the exploration of potential therapeutic strategies for diseases linked to GPI anchor deficiencies. Researchers are leveraging advanced techniques in molecular biology and protein biochemistry to dissect the role of PIGQ in cellular processes, laying the groundwork for future studies in genetic and metabolic disorders related to GPI biogenesis. Overall, the investigation of PIGQ not only enhances our understanding of fundamental biological processes but also opens avenues for therapeutic interventions targeting GPI-related diseases.
