  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PSMC5, a crucial component of the proteasome complex, plays a significant role in protein degradation and cellular regulation. The proteasome is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis by selectively degrading misfolded or damaged proteins, thereby preventing the accumulation of toxic compounds. Recent studies have highlighted the importance of PSMC5 in various cellular processes, including cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, and responses to stress. Moreover, aberrations in proteasome function have been linked to several diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Research on recombinant PSMC5 proteins aims to elucidate their structural and functional properties, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms governing proteasomal activity. Recombinant PSMC5 can be produced using various expression systems, facilitating in-depth studies of its interactions with specific substrates and inhibitors. Additionally, understanding the dynamics of PSMC5 can aid in the development of therapeutic strategies targeting proteasome function, potentially leading to novel treatments for diseases characterized by proteostasis failure. This research not only advances our comprehension of fundamental cellular mechanisms but also opens avenues for innovative drug discovery and therapeutic interventions.
