Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CLCA2 (Chloride Channel Accessory 2) is a member of the CLCA family, which is primarily known for its role in chloride ion transport and regulation. As a crucial component in various physiological processes, including mucus secretion and airway hydration, CLCA2 has garnered attention in the context of respiratory diseases, particularly asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Its expression is often modulated in response to inflammatory stimuli, suggesting a role in the pathophysiology of these conditions. Research has indicated that CLCA2 might influence ion channel activity and cellular signaling pathways, impacting epithelial cell function and respiratory health. The recombinant expression of CLCA2 protein facilitates detailed studies aimed at understanding its functional properties, interactions with other proteins, and potential therapeutic applications. This research may contribute to elucidating the mechanisms underlying airway disorders, offering insights that could lead to novel treatment strategies targeting CLCA2 and its associated pathways. Given the growing prevalence of respiratory diseases worldwide, understanding the function and regulation of CLCA2 becomes critical in developing effective interventions.
