  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TAF1, short for TATA-box binding protein-associated factor 1, is a key component of the transcriptional machinery in eukaryotic cells, playing a critical role in enabling accurate gene expression. As a member of the TAF (TBP-associated factor) family, TAF1 is involved in the assembly of the transcription pre-initiation complex by interacting with various transcription factors, including TBP (TATA-binding protein). The study of TAF1 is particularly important due to its involvement in various cellular processes, including cell cycle regulation and chromatin remodeling. Abnormalities in TAF1 function have been associated with several diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a target of interest for therapeutic interventions. Recent advances in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production and characterization of TAF1, facilitating detailed studies on its structure, interaction with other proteins, and its role in the regulation of gene expression. By elucidating the mechanistic pathways modulated by TAF1, researchers aim to uncover novel insights into the fundamental processes of transcription and its implications in health and disease. This growing body of knowledge continues to highlight the importance of TAF1 as a model for understanding the complex regulatory networks governing cellular function.
