Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MUC4 is a member of the MUC (mucin) family of glycoproteins, which are known for their roles in forming protective mucosal barriers in various tissues. It is primarily expressed in epithelial cells of the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and reproductive tracts. Research on MUC4 has gained significant attention due to its involvement in numerous pathological processes, particularly in cancer. Elevated levels of MUC4 have been associated with aggressive tumor behavior and poor prognosis in several malignancies, including pancreatic, breast, and ovarian cancers. This has led to the hypothesis that MUC4 could serve as a potential biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis, as well as a target for therapeutic interventions. Furthermore, the elucidation of MUC4's structure and function has prompted the development of recombinant MUC4 proteins for various applications, including the study of immune responses and the exploration of its role in cell signaling pathways. The production of MUC4 recombinant proteins in suitable expression systems facilitates the investigation of its biological functions and interactions, thereby enhancing our understanding of its contribution to both normal physiology and disease states. Overall, the study of MUC4 recombinant proteins is pivotal to unraveling the complexities of its role in health and disease, and it holds promise for the advancement of targeted cancer therapies.
