Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TAF2, or TATA-binding protein-associated factor 2, is a key component of the transcription machinery in eukaryotic cells, playing a crucial role in the formation of the transcription pre-initiation complex. Its primary function involves interacting with the TATA-binding protein (TBP) to facilitate the assembly of RNA polymerase II at gene promoters, a pivotal step in the initiation of gene transcription. The study of TAF2 is particularly important in understanding the regulation of gene expression, and its involvement in various cellular processes, including cell differentiation, development, and responses to environmental cues. Dysregulation of TAF2 has been linked to several diseases, including cancers, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Researchers have focused on characterizing TAF2 through recombinant protein technology, allowing for in-depth studies of its structure, function, and interactions with other transcriptional regulators. By producing TAF2 as a recombinant protein, scientists aim to decipher its molecular mechanisms and influence on transcriptional regulation, paving the way for potential interventions in diseases where TAF2 is implicated. Moreover, understanding the dynamics of TAF2 interactions can shed light on the broader regulatory networks governing gene expression, thus providing insights into fundamental biological processes and disease mechanisms.
